Alupol Packaging Group is the largest manufacturer of flexible packaging materials in Poland, and one of the largest companies of this type in Europe. It consists of: Alupol Packaging S.A. and its subsidiaries: Alupol Packaging Kęty Sp. z o.o. and Alupol Films Sp. z o.o.

Group structure

The packaging and BOPP films produced by the Alupol Group are used primarily by instant food manufacturers, but significant recipients also include the fresh food, confectionery, salty snacks, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

  • 1956 – Establishment of the Foil Rolling Mill Department
  • 1970 – Opening of a modern foil rolling mill and packaging department
  • 1992 – Transformation of Zakłady Metali Lekkich “Kęty” into a joint-stock company
  • 1996 – IPO of ZML Kęty S.A. on the Warsaw Stock Exchange
  • 1999 – Launch of a modern Alupol flexible packaging plant in the Tychy economic zone
  • 2001 – Modernization of the film rolling mill in Kęty
  • 2005 – Start-up of a production plant producing packaging using the flexographic method
  • 2006 – Fire in the packaging factory in Kęty
  • 2006 – Diversification of production in two independent plants in Kęty and Tychy
  • 2009 – Establishment of a new company Alupol Packaging Kęty Sp. z o.o., which took over the assets of the Flexible Packaging Segment in Kęty
  • 2009 – Acquisition by Alupol Sp. z o.o. of 100% of shares in Alupol Packaging Kęty Sp. z o.o.
  • 2010 – Transformation of Alupol Spółka z o.o. into Alupol Packaging Spółka Akcyjna
  • 2014 – Establishment of the subsidiary Alupol Films Sp. z o.o.
  • 2016 – Start of production of 5-layer BOPP film at Alupol Films Sp. z o.o.
  • 2019 – Second line for the production of BOPP film – doubling of production capacity at Alupol Films
  • 2021 – Launch of flexo printers at Alupol Packaging Kęty, as backup for Alupol Packaging Tychy
