New investment of Alupol Packaging S.A. - Construction of a plant in the Special Economic Zone
Alupol Packaging S.A. hereby announces that on 2014.11.17 the Supervisory Board of Grupa Kęty S.A. has approved an execution of a new investment project within the Flexible Packaging Segment’s development strategy, concerning the opening of a brand new production facility located in the Special Economic Zone, by a new subsidiary company which will be established within the Flexible Packaging Segment and will be committed strictly to the execution of this task.
The base activity of the new plant will focus on the production and enhancement of plastic films and the production of printing cylinder, which are the tools used in the rotogravure printing process. The total expenditures related to this project will be around PLN 150 million. The production launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.
The approval for the investment project described above was necessary to start negotiations concerning the purchase of assets essential for project execution.
This investment project is just one of the elements included in the Flexible Packaging Segment strategy, executed as a part of a wider development strategy of Grupa Kęty S.A. for 2015-2020, which is going to be published by its board in the first quarter of 2015.
